RELATED FAQ

Q: How long can I wear a tampon?

A: When using tampons, it's important to choose the lowest absorbency necessary for your menstrual flow. And because the amount of flow varies from day to day, it's likely that you will need to use different absorbencies on different days of your period. Selecting the right absorbency comes with experience, but as a guide, if a tampon absorbs as much as it can and has to be changed before 4 hours, then you may want to try a higher absorbency. On the other hand, if you remove a tampon and after 4-8 hours white fiber is still showing, you should choose a lower absorbency.

Q: How does Tampax help stop leaks?

A:Tampax Cardboard Tampons are designed to expand widthwise to fit your individual form and have a LeakGuard skirt to help stop leaks before they happen.

Q: If I like Tampax, what other products would be right for me?

A:For the ultimate in comfortable, dependable protection during your period, next time try Tampax Pearl, Tampax Pocket Pearl, and Tampax Pearl Active tampons.

Light Cardboard Tampax

Why were the Tampax cardboard light tampons discontinued?!? They were the best tampon for every reason. They are the most comfortable to wear. They never slid out like the pearl do. The cardboard is biodegradable and is a renewable resource. They are much less expensive than the pearls. They even came in a package of only lights. Oh, it was a sad day when I could no longer find them, even online.

Where are the slender regulars and lites cardboards???

Dear Tampax,For 36 years I have used your cardboard tampons - Slender Regular and then Lites. Now you've not only turned them into non-flushable plastic to fill up the trash bins of the world, but have taken away the Slenders and make the Lites available in a small quantity along with the bigger tampons. I don't want all the big ones in order to get the little ones!!! I've always had a lighter flow and don't appreciate you pulling my tampons almost entirely off the market because you think they needed to be "prettier" or more glamorous in recent years. There was nothing wrong with the fit then and there's nothing wrong with it now. I've tried the Pearls and the wrapping comes off as soon as I touch it and I want to be able to flush it instead of adding it to the plastic paradise floating out in the sea because you think it feels "silkier". It's a tampon, not a thong. The plastic feels cheap and the travels are a waste of time. They don't pull out correctly. Don't fix what's not broken, and please bring back what we liked in the first place. My official review on the Regulars is: they are perfect if you need regular size. They are too big for me!

Sometimes the originals are better!

I use the original Tampax cardbord applicator tampons. I have found, for me, they work better than any other tampon I have tried, including the Tampax Pearls. I like the Pearls but I have leakage issues when I used them and I never have that problem with the Tampax Flushable Cardboard tampons. Keep up the good work Tampax!

Best Applicator

I really have only ever purchased tampons with cardboard applicators or no applicators at all. I was intimidated buy the open ended tip on these applicators at first, but now I realize they are so much better. No scraping from thin cardboard edges when I insert this one, and the cardboard tube is super sturdy with a comfortable gloss finish. Where this tampon applicator really shines is the anti-slip grip. Super comfortable to hold and I don't have a problem with it getting slippery like I do with other cardboard applicators. The design and sturdiness of the applicator prevents the tubes from coming apart, a problem I have with almost all other cardboard applicators. The only downside is I really only like using the lites. The tampon is tiny, the applicator is brilliant and slim. I've never ever used a super tampon before in my life so this multipax is a bust. I would stop buying my regular organic cotton tampons with cardboard applicators if I could buy the lite tampons separately. The tampon itself could use improvements but it is comfortable so I don't have many complaints about it. I would use a less than ideal tampon just to use the incredible applicator, and I know that sounds weird, because applicators are not entirely necessary, but they are certainly useful when conditions are not all that sanitary, like public bathrooms. These tampons are just so easy to use it is almost joyous.

Best Combo Pack!

Please continue to make these cardboard tampons, both as a multipack and individually. I love having the different absorbancy options in one box. However, I see you discontinued the Lites in their own box. Please bring them back! There are lots of environmentally conscious ladies who continue to use and love your cardboard applicators. No plastic for me!

Comfortable and Flushable!

It's getting harder and harder to find cardboard applicators... everyone seems to be going to plastic. What a waste. It's bad for the environment and doesn't add any additional comfort as far as I've noticed. I've tried most brands, but keep coming back to this one because it's great, it's environmentally friendlier, and it's flushable! Bonus. I just wish they made it in some of the fun colors plastic gets.
